Hand Stretch Wrap & Dispensers – Strong, Reliable & Easy to Use

Using the proper wrapping product is key to keeping your products properly wrapped and protected during shipping and storage. Get Me Packaging offers high-quality hand stretch wraps and dispensers for protecting, stabilizing, and securing pallets.

Our pallet shrink and stretch wrapping systems are simple to use and can be used by nearly all types of businesses. Whether you're trying to secure light boxes or heavy pallets or anything in between, we have the right solution.

Types of Pallet Shrink and Stretch Wraps

We have a hand-applied stretch film available in two varieties:

  • Blown Stretch Film
  • Cast Stretch Film

Both types of stretch films are designed to hold your products safely wrapped tightly together, but they have unique characteristics that you will find useful depending on your application.

Blown Stretch Film – Strong & Durable

Blown stretch film is slightly more pricey than cast stretch film; its durability and overall strength make up for the higher cost.

Main features of Blown Stretch Film:

  • Superior tear resistance and high puncture resistance
  • Extremely sticky to the touch
  • Better stability of product load
  • High film memory

Unlike cast stretch film, blown stretch film's hold on the pallet is based more on how sticky it is than how much it stretches. For this reason, the film creates a much stronger hold for pallets needing a higher degree of load security, especially heavy and/or unbalanced pallets.

Cast Stretch Film – Clear & Easy to Work with

Cast stretch film is by far the most used, primarily because of its clarity and simplicity of use.

Main features of Cast Stretch Film:

  • Clear film to allow for easier scanning of barcodes
  • Non-stick surfaces
  • Film unwinding is done smoothly and quietly
  • Visual identification of the product

Cast stretch wrap works excellently when clear visibility is required. Additionally, because it unwinds easily, it creates a much quicker and easier wrap process for the user.

You can choose from two core options for both blown and cast stretch films from Get Me Packaging.

Standard Flush Core -  Provides a more controlled application, used with a hand dispenser.

Extended Core -  More user-friendly, does not require an additional dispenser, and allows for easier manipulation while wrapping pallets.

You will find the most suitable option for your comfort and packaging processes.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Hand Stretch Wrap - What Is It Used For?
Hand stretch wrap is used to hold together pallets and products until they reach their final destination and to keep them from being damaged or getting dirt, dust, and debris on them while in storage or transit.

2. Blown Stretch Film versus Cast Stretch Film - What Are Their Differences?
Blown stretch film has greater puncture resistance, and it is thicker with more adhesive; therefore, it provides a stronger hold for your load than cast stretch film. Cast stretch film is clearer than blown and unwinds quieter than cast stretch film, making it easier to read bar codes when the product is packed in cast stretch film.

3. Which Stretch Film to Use for Heavy Pallets?
Utilizing blown stretch film on heavy or uneven pallets gives you a greater hold because of the thickness of the film (it is tough), due to its great stickiness, and "memory" of the blown stretch.

4. Why is Cast Stretch Film More Widely Used than All Other Types of Stretch Films?
Cast stretch film is the clear choice because it is clear, smooth, and easy to use. Cast stretch film unwinds quietly, allowing for easy reading of bar codes on products packaged in cast stretch film.

5. Do You Need A Dispenser to Use Hand Stretch Wrap?
It depends on the core. Standard flush core rolls will require a dispenser for ease of control and use; however, extended core rolls have user-friendly cores and do not require a dispenser.
